We are a small company and this will be a large expense for us, but we have decided that we will offer replacement cartridges to those customers who never intend to receive the update. To be clear, 1.0.6 is a mandatory, free update that will be applied to the cartridge once it is put into a console that is connected online, which fixes this bug. Special Reserve Games would like to echo the statement shared by Doinksoft, developers of Gato Roboto, in regretting the lack of the 1.0.6 patch on the physical cartridge.Īs Doinksoft notes, they quickly patched the bug present in 1.0.5 but the cartridges had already been produced with version 1.0.5. Looks like they are planning on doing what LRG did with their Doom game a replacement cart. Otherwise I would have picked up the digital instead. I know that you can finish the game with the update but I bought the physical with the expectation that you could at least complete it without needing a patch.
I found out that the physical version of Gato Roboto from Special Reserve shipped with a game breaking bug at 37% of the game.
